"Tch" was all the cleric said when his holy prayer failed to kill the warchanter. If anything, he thought, his goddess should have given him the strength to strike that creature dead immediately. Unless, there were other matters that were occupying his goddess. Firm in the belief that his own resolution and conviction would have been enough, he took the lack of an instant kill as a sign that Sarenrae wanted this ruined festival redeemed, with red goblin blood coating his scimitar.
More than happy to oblige, he held the bladed weapon out in front of him and started toward the injured war chanter. One kill had already been taken from him, and he was loathe to let this greater prize escape his divinity inspired wrath. He was thankful that the others near him took out the other minions. It allowed him to close in on his prey easier.

Quizzing his success about his last attack, he wonders how the others are doing. Elkin stands memorized by the others' retaliation. He decides not to carry out another attack for this turn.

--- RESULTS --- Saya:After taunting the stunned sorceress, Saya bends down and fishes around for something of use on the closest goblin’s corpse. Fishing through the pockets on the leather jerkin of the goblin she stabbed through the stomach, the half-elf discovers only a necklace of canine teeth and some pieces of broken metal. The only thing of any worth on the goblin’s body is the dogslicer it has clutched in its now dead fingers, though even that is barely worth anything, in economic or combat purposes. It seems that these goblins are very poor. Saya finds nothing on the goblin fighter except the almost worthless dogslicer. Anirnis:The elven cleric stalks towards the warchanter, holding the blade in a threatening position as he slowly walks forward. The goblin bard’s eyes grow wide as it stops the magical, yet disturbing, chant that boosted the courage of the goblins and dazed the poor sorceress. Actually shutting its mouth for once, the little monster arches back its scrawny arm and launches his whip forwards, crude metal spikes on the ends whistling through the smoky air. Batting the assault aside like it was nothing, Anirnis continues towards the enemy, his slow and stalking steps instilling a primal fear in the warchanter. Letting out a guttural cry, the goblin begins to run away when the curved blade whistles around, cleanly lopping the petulant head from the body in a spray of dark green blood. Goblin Warchanter takes 6 HP damage, and is killed. Elkin:Startled by the slaughter around him, the gnomish wizard looks around him, watching all the others finish off the little band of goblins. Wiping off various pieces of debris off of the end of his staff, Elkin notices that the fighting across Sandpoint has diminished somewhat. No longer can cries of frightened peasants be heard, only the occasional clash of steel swords meeting in vicious combat. The gnome looks around at his surroundings, trying to decide the next best course of action. Elkin does nothing during this round of combat. Aislinn:The sorceress slowly drifts back into consciousness, the gray fog slowly lifting from her clouded mind. As it drifts away, she realizes that the warchanter is dead and the druid is engaged in combat with the last remaining creature at the moment. She smiles to herself, knowing that with herself and the other ones here, Sandpoint is in no real danger. Aislinn recovers from the Daze spell and is able to fight once again. Kain:Kain’s violent act of snapping a goblin’s already broken neck and lighting the head on fire to use as a macabre projectile might strike some as odd, but none can deny the effectiveness of such an attack. Although it may not be the most accurate of assaults. The burning head does not fly towards the intended point of impact, but instead careens towards the dizzy goblin that the wizard had previously been battling. The monster turns around and spots the flaming head of his dead comrade flying towards him, and such a sight could startle anyone. Shrieking in terror, the goblin runs away, disappearing around a corner, the screams becoming more and more distant before they are suddenly cut off. Goblin4 flees battle. --- VICTORY ---

Elkin notices this before the rest of the battle consumed group, but they too begin to realize that the fight for the town is almost over. A man in white robes rushes up to the group of five, and they realize that it is Father Zantus, the very priest who was about to speak before the goblins invaded. A worried expression on his face is plain to see, though it quickly twists into shock once he sees what the quintuplet had done to some of the raiders. Eyes wide with gratitude, Father Zantus speaks quickly and nervously, “Y-you five did this? To these mongrels? I… I don’t know what to say.” The priest pauses for a few seconds before continuing on. “Thank you! Thank you all. No, no, Sandpoint thanks you for your valiant efforts against these disgusting creatures. I cannot help much, but if one of you is injured, I can heal your wounds.” His eyes drift over the group to rest on Kain, his armored blackened in spots and his hands burned from the burning banner. “Ah, you! Come here.” Walking over to the priest, Kain holds out his scorched palms for Father Zantus to see. The man places his palms upon the druids, and begins to chant to his goddess, Desna. Hands glowing with a deep blue shine, the priest grasps the druid’s own hands and the burns slowly start to heal, the process accelerating until the marks are completely gone. Dropping his arms to his sides, Father Zantus lets out a sigh and says, “That should do it. I apologize, but I cannot stay here much longer, someone else may need my aid. Be careful.” And with that, the priest hurries off, disappearing around a corner. Kain is healed for 3 HP, leaving him with 13 HP. Here and there, the sounds of battle, clanging swords, calls of support by the town guard, and shrieking and singing goblins echo through the streets, but at the festival itself, most of the citizens have fled to the safety of their homes. One or two goblins remain behind to scavenge food, and many more lie dead, along with a few unfortunate citizens. It is obvious that the fight has moved on, especially when the sound of a scream and a frantic barking comes from the northern road above the group.

Anirnis took a moment to gloat, inside, over his kill. It was only a moment, however, as he was certain that there was more combat to he had. He caught the mercenary's disheartened look at the loot recovered from one of the goblin's bodies. He figured that the goblins themselves carried little with them on their raids. Perhaps...there was a goblin burrow or warren in the surrounding area, one that could be destroyed and pillaged in retribution for the death and damaged caused to the town.
He was about to question Father Zantus, but held his tongue as the elder priest healed the druid. And before he could ask his questions, the man vanished around the corner. Oh well, it couldn't be helped. He turned to face the northern road, since it seemed that was where the fiercest fighting was still raging. Leaving his treasured blade dripping goblin blood, he headed toward the road.

Kain looks at his hands in on shock on how he just was recovered from a spell "Thank You" Kain said back as he looked up from his hands but the priest was gone.
Kain then looked around at the group that fought with him and thought of how he would have died fighting the goblins alone with out them.
Kain then smiled to him self thanking what ever power there is out there for gathering them all together all of a sudden the strange noise's from the north is heard by Kain as he prepared his staff ready for more battle he turns to go north "hey you guys lets head north and take out more of those goblin scum and check out that barking sound" Kain said.
Kain then continued to walk north thinking to him self "I'll find out who ruined this festival and when i do I'm going to make him pay!"
on the way north Kain try to take some of the food that may have been saved from the attack.

Saya looked around here to see that the goblens around her were all dead. Annoyed that the corpse she rumaged had nothing, she stabs the dead body a few times, then steps on its skull to crush it. After destroying it, she kicks the dead body towards the sorceress.
"Here, its a present for you." Saya says. "Maybe it'll wake you up more."
Wanting more fun, Saya starts to head north, hoping to kill more. With her sword at her side, she gives a devilish grin, for she decided that after saving this town she deserved some reward. She would hunt down that fat priest and demand a reward...a few coins would do.

The divine sorceress paused for a minute to take in her surroundings recovering from the daze. She raised a hand to her eye level and moved it around to find she had control of her limbs and senses again. All she remembered was the shrieking goblins dying under spell and steel. There was also, as she recalled, incessant blabbering coming from Saya, she guessed. She smirked at this before dismissing the thought.
Then seeing the cleric start off, her hearing became more acute, if only for a second. She too heard the noises coming from the northern road. If nothing else, there was profit to be had in the goblin camp with was likely nearby.
The sun hit Aislinn's eyes just right and for a moment you could see the look of her desire. Desire for money, desire for the redemption of Sandpoint after this goblin intrusion, and above all the desire to kill evil. Aislinn grinned the fierce grin of all warriors and magicians cut and driven back by the presence of killing. She knew that when she returned to Sandpoint she might wink at herself, a minstrel sorceress, blood-stained, in a glass mirror. Later, going to sleep, she would feel this smile still gripped by her face muscles, in the dark. It never went away, that smile, it never ever went away, as long as she remembered.

General chaos begins to increase as the five adventurers rush up northern road. To the side, a goblin leaps off a roof in an attempt to land on a victim but misses and breaks his neck, splattering himself over the cobblestone road. Up ahead, a goblin throws a lit torch at a fleeing mother only to have it land on another goblin and light his armor on fire, causing both goblins to run away in opposite directions shrieking. The stupidity of these creatures is slowly becoming apparent. Suddenly skidding to a stop, the ragtag group stares on in shock at the scene before them. In front of the White Deer, a popular inn in Sandpoint, a single goblin general mounted on his goblin dog has bravely attacked a noble and his hunting canine. A crude halberd wielded by the commando is aiming numerous slashes at the animal, and the small dog is fighting back bravely. The man himself cowers behind a rain barrel, hands over his head and curled up into a fetal position. There is a sharp, animalistic yelp, and before anyone else can react, the dog is dead. As the hunting canine crashes to the ground dead, the commando’s goblin kin, who were themselves cowering nearby as the dog was handled, throw up a cheer and emerge from hiding. The goblins are still distracted by their kill, and they focus their attention on the scared man. The commando reaches into his pocket and pulls out a small bottle filled with bubbling, scarlet liquid. Putting it to his disfigured lips, the goblin general drinks the substance in one shot and throws the empty botle on the pavement, giving an impossibly loud roar in rage, not high-pitched or shrill in any way. --- BOSS FIGHT --- Elkin, Anirnis, Saya, Aislinn, Kain VS. Goblin(4), Goblin Dog, Goblin Commando --- SURPRISE TURN --- Elkin - HIT Anirnis - HIT Saya - HIT Aislinn - HIT Kain - HIT

Saya's eyes glow with excitment. She was really looking foward to something fun to do, and she got it. A fight during a religious festival against some stupid goblens, what more could she want.
Desiring the reward she was going to demand, and driven foward for blood, she rushes foward, sword out in front of her. Reaching the first victem, she feins a slash to the right, but in the middle of the slash, she drops the sword into her left hand and stabs up into the goblen's stomach. Eyes glowing, she laughs in the creatures face as she thrusts her blade up.

The cleric wasn't surprised at all to see a noble hiding so poorly, cowering and numb with fear as a loyal dog was slain in a most brutal manner. He figured that the man's guards, or retainers, had either fled, been slain, or had been separated and were fighting elsewhere. Fair enough. The man had better be praying to a god at that moment in thanks for Anirnis's arrival.
Seeing that the mercenary had followed, he was glad for once. Saya could deal with the four Goblins, as well the Goblin Dog, while he took out the general. He would make sure that he struck fast, so the godless heathen wouldn't get too beaten up. Praying once again and furrowing his eyebrows as he concentrated, praying for a divine Fire Bolt from Sarenrae.

Kain had tiers in his eyes as he looked at the dead dog Kain was sad that he couldn't save the dog Kain then wiped away his tiers and looked to the goblins in anger "how could you kill a incant dog why why did you kill him!!!"
Kain then prepared his hand and started casting a spell as a little light starting coming out of Kain's hand Kain runs up to the commando screaming "die you d**n goblin scum!" Kain puts his hand right in front of the goblins face and casts ACID DART aiming for up its nose.
then jumping back holding his q-staff up for defense.

Elkin, astonished by the continual cycling of opponents, starts to try to think of crafty ways to abolish the goblins. He creates an idea in his mind that leads him to believe trickery is the way to tackle this problem.
Elkin runs up to the goblin dog, and holds his wooden staff horizontally against his chest. He then pushes it down toward the ground, with the goblin dog's short attention span making it's nose go follow the staff. Elkin quickly pushes forward and tackles the goblin dog. Elkin hits the dog twice in the nose and a later a couple quick and weak hits towards the dog's abdomen.

Seeing as how the goblin commando and his 'pup' were about o get their guts cut out and spewed across the cobblestone stone, Aislinn set her sights on another goblin who was sure as daylight to flee after watching its leader be massacred in such a cruel manner. Not one of these creatures could be left alive; they all die right here, right now.
The sorceress concentrated her magic to the air in front of her and with her hand moved it into a complex shape. The runic symbol glowed in Aislinn's divine white light and took complete shape. The sorceress stepped back drawing the symbol towards her and compressing it into her closed fist. The white glow leaked through the cracks of her soft fingers before she opened it up and let the spell fly. A single Magic Missile exploded from her closed hand with such force that the back wind created blew her hair and dress. Aislinn quickly spun around to calm the wind just in time to watch her spell crash into one of the, otherwise, unharmed goblins.

OOC: OKAY! I think it's about time we get this started back up, I got this first volume to run through with you guys and then another, and two more are on the way to make 4 out of the 6 parts. I apologize for not starting this back up sooner, after school/finals/vacation was over I assumed it was dead. Chatting with Havoc made me realize you guys were waiting for me... and I'm sorry about that. ;D
So, expect a new battle round post soon. And also, I won't be describing your actions in such detail every time, as it gets a bit much sometimes with five people. It also lets me spit out posts faster than ever, so we can keep the thread going. Sound good?

OOC: Now in your actions, say that you are attacking but don't describe it actually connecting, as it may miss or hit. This will be determined after the round instead of before, like it orignally was in Pathfinder rules. Let's get this adventure path going, lots of good stuff ahead.--- RESULTS --- Saya:Eyes glowing with battle lust, Saya drives her shortsword up into the goblin’s gut, impaling the wriggling creature on the bloodstained metal until it stills. Goblin1 takes 5 HP damage, and is killed. Anirnis:Yet another flaming bolt flies from the fingertips of the elf, engulfing the commando’s leg and burning it to a blackened bone as the creature attached to the limb roars in anger. Anirnis feels a bit woozy. Goblin Commando takes 5 HP damage, and has 5 HP left. Elkin:Elkin’s quick jabs are mostly fended off by the quick moving animal, but one particularly hard smack on the stomach makes the creature grunt in pain. Goblin Dog takes 4 HP damage, and has 6 HP left. Aislinn:The divine light of the magic spell shines brightly as the comet streaks over to crash into its target, causing the afflicted goblin’s skin to hiss, sizzle, and pop in the holy light. Goblin2 takes 3 HP damage, and has 2 HP left. Kain:The acid dart begins to form but fizzles a bit and ends up splashing onto the commando’s face. Snarling in anger, the leader knocks Kain away from him, bounding away on his rat-like dog. Goblin Commando takes 2 HP damage, and has 3 HP left. --- ENEMY TURN --- Focused on the last one to attack him, the goblin commando charges at Kain with a roar and swings his horsechopper upwards, landing a clean hit that slices through Kain’s armor and leaves a gaping wound. Kain takes 9 HP damage, and has 4 HP left. One goblin noticing the death of his comrade, the little monster runs forward and jabs at Saya with his dogslicer, catching her leg and cutting deep. Saya takes 3 HP damage, and has 12 HP left. Injured and furious at Elkin, the goblin dog snaps forward with his oversized teeth and clamps onto the small wizard’s arm. After the mutt finally opens its mouth and lets go of his arm, an uncontrollable and intense itchy rash spreads over the limb at surprising speed. Elkin takes 6 HP damage, and has 4 HP left, with an additional allergic reaction to the goblin dog’s filth which lowers his Dex rating by 2. Another beastly goblin jumps Anirnis right after the elf’s spellcasting and slices downwards with his dogslicer, but the cleric jumps out of the way of the assault. Unfortunately, goblins are hate driven creatures and their comrade's failure causes the last pair of invaders to jump Anirnis at the same time, one missing and one landing a successful hit in the stomach, knocking the wind out of the elf. Anirnis takes 4 HP damage, and has 8 HP left. --- STATS --- Elkin - 4 HP left Kain - 4 HP left Saya - 12 HP left Aislinn - 9 HP left Anirnis - 8 HP left
Goblin2 – 2 HP left Goblin3 – 5 HP left Goblin4 – 5 HP left Goblin Dog – 6 HP left Goblin Commando – 3 HP left

Again, the cleric was somewhat disappointed that his fire hadn't reduced the inbred creature to ashes. Regardless, it looked like the goblin wouldn't live for much more than a minute, and he took joy in the fact that the pain is was suffering at the moment was inflicted by him.
He wasn't prepared for the counterattack that was to follow. He winced as the wind was knocked out of his stomach. The double attack only inflated his ego a little. So the goblins were intelligent enough to see him as the greatest threat. Very well, he'd give them credit for being that smart. In part anger, part a little desperation, he swung his saber at the two that had ganged up on him.

The sorceress found herself being the only one who wasn't attacked. She was slightly surprised but quickly dismissed the thought of gratitude to someone like Saya for killing a goblin.
She ran a soft hand over her chest in a holy pattern and spoke in a celestial tongue, praying to Shelyn for a divine touch. Carrying the mystical hand carefully, she swiftly ran to Kain and slid her hand over his gaping wound. The light connected with blood and skin magically started to close around and heal the body also stopping much of the blood.
